1. 🇺🇸 Cooper Tires

Manufactured: Findlay, Ohio; Texarkana, Arkansas; Tupelo, Mississippi

Cooper Tires runs three US consumer tire plants: Findlay, Ohio (its original 1919 facility and current headquarters), Texarkana, Arkansas, and Tupelo, Mississippi. Goodyear acquired Cooper in 2021 but kept these plants running. The Discoverer AT3 series (an all-terrain tire for SUVs and pickups) and the CS5 Ultra Touring and CS5 Grand Touring (passenger car tires) are the most consistently documented US-made lines, built primarily at Findlay and Texarkana.

Caveat: Cooper also manufactures overseas, including in China and Serbia, and its Roadmaster and commercial truck lines are imported, so this applies to the specific consumer lines above, not the full Cooper catalog.

Best for: the Discoverer AT3 or CS5 lines specifically - consumer and light truck tires from one of only two tire brands with a genuine US manufacturing base

2. 🇺🇸 BFGoodrich

Manufactured: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

BFGoodrich's Tuscaloosa plant has produced passenger car, light truck, and racing tires since 1946 and has passed 500 million tires made. Michelin, a French company, has owned BFGoodrich since 1988, but ownership doesn't change where a specific tire was built. The All-Terrain T/A KO2, BFGoodrich's most popular off-road tire, is confirmed domestic: DOT codes on real KO2 sidewalls trace to both the Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant and BFGoodrich's Woodburn, Indiana facility, depending on size.

Caveat: BFGoodrich builds tires across multiple domestic plants (Tuscaloosa, Woodburn IN, and Opelika AL) plus facilities in France and Mexico, and which plant a given tire comes from depends on size and model. Check the DOT code to confirm plant of origin on a specific tire before buying.

Best for: the All-Terrain T/A KO2 specifically - confirmed US-made off-road tires from Michelin's oldest American facility

3. 🇺🇸 Goodyear

Manufactured: multiple US plants including Akron, Ohio and Gadsden, Alabama

Goodyear was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1898 and still operates 17 tire plants in the United States, more domestic plants than any other tire maker. The Wrangler line (truck and SUV tires) and the Endurance trailer tire are documented as built specifically at the Gadsden, Alabama and Fayetteville, North Carolina plants.

Caveat: those 17 US plants are part of 48 total worldwide across 21 countries, so most of Goodyear's total production happens outside the US. Stick to the Wrangler and Endurance lines specifically, or check the DOT code on the sidewall for any other Goodyear tire before assuming it's domestic.

Best for: the Wrangler or Endurance lines specifically - truck, SUV, and trailer tires from the larger of the two genuinely American tire brands

4. 🇺🇸 Champion Laboratories

Manufactured: Illinois and South Carolina

Champion Laboratories has made oil, air, fuel, and cabin filters at its Illinois and South Carolina plants since the 1950s, under its own Champ brand and as a private-label maker for a long list of retail and automotive brands. Premium Guard Inc. acquired Champion's manufacturing assets in 2026 and is restoring production at the Albion, Illinois facility after a brief shutdown earlier that year.

Caveat: Champion also manufactures overseas for some of its private-label programs, so this applies to Champ-branded filters specifically. Given the recent ownership change, it's worth confirming current production status before buying.

Best for: Champ-branded oil, air, and cabin filters

5. 🇺🇸 Purolator

Manufactured: Fayetteville, North Carolina

Purolator manufactures the majority of its oil filters at its Fayetteville, North Carolina plant.

Caveat: Germany's Mann+Hummel has owned Purolator since 2013, and as part of that larger global filter group, some Purolator filters are now made in other countries. Check the box or filter casing for country of origin before buying - this brand has more overseas crossover than most others here.

Best for: OE-style replacement oil filters

6. 🇺🇸 Trico

Manufactured: USA (Titan, Maxx, and Ultra lines)

Trico invented the mass-produced windshield wiper blade in Buffalo, New York in 1917 and still manufactures its Titan, Maxx, and Ultra wiper blade lines domestically.

Caveat: Trico also runs plants in Mexico, the UK, Australia, and China, and most of its other blade lines are assembled in Mexico. Stick to the Titan, Maxx, or Ultra product names specifically if domestic manufacture matters to you.

Best for: premium wiper blades from the company that invented the category

7. 🇺🇸 Elgin Industries

Manufactured: Elgin, Illinois

Elgin Industries has engineered and manufactured engine and chassis components, including pushrods, piston pins, rocker arms, camshafts, and lifters, at its Elgin, Illinois facility since 1919. The company remains family-owned three generations later and supplies original equipment parts to Ford, General Motors, John Deere, and Harley-Davidson, alongside its own aftermarket and performance lines.

Elgin's Sloppy Stage performance camshafts and its full valvetrain component line are explicitly marketed as made in the USA, not just assembled domestically from imported parts.

Best for: pushrods, camshafts, and valvetrain components, made entirely at one Illinois facility since 1919

8. 🇺🇸 WeatherTech

Manufactured: Bolingbrook, Illinois

WeatherTech makes its FloorLiners, All-Weather Mats, cargo liners, and other protective accessories at its own facility in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Over 95% of the company's products come from this plant, including the raw materials used to build them. WeatherTech remains privately owned by founder David MacNeil, who started the company in 1989 after finding the floor mats on the market at the time inadequate.

The FloorLiner uses laser-measured, vehicle-specific molds rather than a universal fit, which is the main reason it costs more than a generic rubber mat. WeatherTech has built over 20,000 of these molds in-house.

Best for: custom-fit floor liners and cargo protection, over 95% made at one Illinois facility

9. 🇺🇸 East Penn (Deka)

Manufactured: Lyon Station, Pennsylvania

East Penn Manufacturing has made batteries under the Deka brand since 1946, still family-owned three generations later. Its Lyon Station facility is the largest single-site battery manufacturing plant in the world, making over 515 battery types across automotive, marine, deep-cycle, and industrial applications. Unlike many battery brands sold at retail, East Penn manufactures directly rather than contracting the work out to third-party plants.

Best for: automotive, marine, and deep-cycle batteries from a direct manufacturer, not a badge brand

10. 🇺🇸 Inline Tube

Manufactured: Shelby Township, Michigan

Inline Tube started out of a two-car garage in 1995 and now manufactures preformed brake, fuel, and transmission lines out of its own facility in Shelby Township, Michigan, just outside Detroit. The company builds each line to original factory bends, fittings, and flares, primarily for classic car and truck restoration work rather than modern daily drivers.

Best for: preformed brake and fuel lines for classic car restoration
